Sales of Foreign Language Placement Tests to Non-University of Wisconsin Institutions

 

The University of Wisconsin Center for Placement Testing offers for sale the UW Foreign Language Placement Tests in French, German and Spanish. The content of the tests and sample questions can be found in other links on this page. If you are interested in purchasing the tests, please FAX the order on your college letterhead, indicating a mailing and a billing address, to 608-263-4291. Since these tests are only available to post-secondary institutions, we will verify the information prior to shipping. The costs of the tests are:

• $6.95 each plus shipping for the language mechanics/reading comprehension section
• $2.95 each plus shipping for the listening comprehension section which includes the listening tape

Both sections are multiple-choice tests and are intended to be scored on your own campus. The language mechanics/reading comprehension section is the primary placement instrument and can be used alone. The listening comprehension section may help hone decisions but does not need to be included for placement accuracy.
